Touche Eclat Le Teint

As previously mentioned on this blog I am a huge lover of YSL products, particularly their foundations but admittedly I've some what neglected this brand recently.

What caught my attention this time however, was the new formula of their famous Touche Eclat foundation; Touche Eclat Le Teint.

The launch of this new formula meant myself and my friend were able to be booked in for a full YSL makeover at our local counter which was very exciting. Getting my makeup done by other people used to make me so nervous as I'm very particular about how I like my make up to look, but now I love it. I love other people being able to experiment with different looks that I wouldn't necessarily try on myself, and also having someone who actually knows what they are doing is brilliant!

So I thought I'd share with you some of the makeup that was used in my look and what my favourite products were,..

These metallic liquid shadows were amazing! I particularly loved orange plunge (far left), the colour on the lid is not what you expect when you see the bottle and it blends beautifully with these metallic browns to create a smokey eye but the orange remains bold. I will definitely be treating myself to these on payday!

Before any makeup was applied the makeup artist put on some of the Touche Eclat Blur Primer, I had previously been skeptical of this because if any of you have seen it, it's a really glittery liquid. I'm all for a bit of radiance and highlighter but having glitter on my face wasn't something I was keen on. However I was completely shocked to find you could barely see the glitter at all and it really does blur all your pores leaving you with a great base to work with. I also opted to have the Touche Eclat Green Neutraliser as I do have a bit of redness around my nose and chin, this worked perfectly to hide those imperfections and the holy grail product Touche Eclat Concealer helped to hide those dark circles and highlight certain areas.

These two items are just incredible. So the Babydoll Kiss and Blush works as a cheek stain and a lip gloss with a beautiful matte finish. It comes in a few colours but this one pictured hear I believe is number 7 Coral Affranchi. I actually ended up buying the The Rouge Pur Couture in shade number 6 Rose Begamasque, it's a gorgeous peachy nude which is perfect for every day wear.

And last but by no means least the Touche Eclat Le Teint. I was colour matched with B50 Honey as I like to go slightly darker than my natural shade. The Touche Eclat is YSL's best selling foundation offering flawless, radiant coverage whilst still remaining light weight. I must admit the foundation did feel really light on my skin in comparison to my current foundation and there was no transfer like some of the foundations I've used in the past. The only negative about this foundation is for me personally it didn't have a lot of staying power, even with the help of the primer. It probably doesn't help that I'm comparing this to my trusty double wear, but for me nothing beats it! Sorry YSL....

My completed look.. Have you tried any of these products? If so what do you think? Leave me a comment below and as always thanks for reading!

  1. I am obsessed with the Touche Eclat and the Tint-In-Oils. Basically everything YSL makes, actually...
