I can't believe its already November, this year has gone so fast. I realised the other day that since I started blogging I haven't actually done a favourites post and I've been loving a lot of new things this month so It's probably the perfect time to do one. So without further a do here are some of the things I've been loving this month...
Caudalie Deep Cleansing Exfoliator & Bioderma Sebium H2O
I purchased both of these items from Escentual, which is one of my favourite product websites. I'm definitely very late on the bandwagon with Bioderma, as the Bioderma Sensibio has been raved about for ages. However I opted for the Sebium H2O as I have combination skin with an oily t zone (Mmm sexy, I know), and I love it! It removes all my make-up leaving my skin feeling really fresh and I have noticed a definite reduction in the oilyness of my face which It claims to reduce by 'limiting sebum secretion and thoroughly cleansing the epidermis (posh word for skin)'...
I'm also loving my Caudalie exfoliator which I purchased at the same time. It says to use just twice a week so don't over do it but I have found this to be quite mild. I wouldn't recommend using it If you're planning on going out any time soon as It can leave you with a bit of redness in some areas but overall I've really enjoyed using this. Another bonus with Caudalie is that it's against animal testing!
Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer & KMS Curl Up Wave Foam
I received both these items in my October Birchbox which I was thrilled with this month. Strangely I was looking for a new primer before I got my sample, and had been debating on one of the Laura Mercier primers, so I was so happy this lived up to my expectations. It genuinely makes my skin look a lot more healthy and radiant, and my make-up generally looks nicer and stay on better.
Now I'm not usually a fan of hair mouses, It always reminds me of being back at school when girls used to put so much mouse in there hair that it went really crispy and just looked awful! But this stuff is great, I put a small amount through my hair after towel drying then dried it fully with my hair dryer. It just gave my hair really natural 'beach style' waves, there was no frizz and more importantly no crispy bits! I love how effortless this is, its so perfect for when you literally have no time to get ready as you can even let it air dry and it will have the same effect. Highly recommend this product!
Bourjois Bronzing Primer
I bought this some time ago but haven't got round to including it in a post. I now include this in my daily make-up routine, as you can see it's very well loved. Using a mouse style bronzer can seem quite 'intimidating' in the sense that it may be difficult to apply or too heavy but this gives such a light finish and is so easy to put on. I use my trusty real techniques expert face brush to apply this after applying my foundation and it goes on really smoothly and gives a natural glow. Also it smells amazing, like caramel chocolate, I came pretty close to tasting it then realised that it would be weird so I refrained from doing so.
Revlon Nail Enamel in 570 Vixen
As you can see I'm really good at painting my nails (not). That aside this is my new favourite nail colour. Its a lovely dark burgundy/purple-ish shade which I think is perfect for Autumn/Winter, and It lasts ages before it starts to chip away.
Nivea Essential Care Lip Balm
Relatively plain and simple but this is great if like me you're prone to getting chapped lips, particularly in the colder months. Its really moisturising and also works well as a sort of primer before you apply any lipstick or gloss.
I recently moved into a new house and I'm a bit of a sucker for bedroom accessories, anything from wall signs, ornaments, candles and fairy lights. I think they make such a difference and now it's getting a bit colder I wanted to make my new room a little more cosy. My bedding is from the Red Herringbone Pathwork collection at Dunelm, and the candles and fairy lights I got from the Range.
Breaking Bad & Game of Thrones
And last but by no means least I have recently and quite shamefully dedicated a lot of time to watching these two TV series. I am so late on the band wagon with these, its unreal but If like me you are yet to watch either of them I would highly recommend doing so. They are literally so addictive and I'm obsessed and have become a bit of a cretin which is unusal for me as I don't really watch much TV other than Made in Chelsea.
I hope you've enjoyed reading my monthly favourites, sorry If I've waffled a bit but October has definitely been a good month for favouritey things. Please leave me a comment below and tell me what you thought of this post, and If you'd like me to do more posts like this one.
Thanks for reading, Ash x
